Any defects, shrinkage, or other faults noticed within 12 months from completion, arising from defective materials or workmanship, must be amended by the contractor at their own cost.
The defect liability period for the work is 12 calendar months from the date of successful completion.
The contractor is responsible for making good all injuries, damages, and repairs occasioned by fire or other causes and holding the Govt. of Odisha harmless for claims.

All PVC insulated and armored cables must conform to I.S. 1554 Part-I/1964 (as amended) and be of 650/1100 Volt grade.
Only one make of cable shall be used, and all cables must be tested and approved before laying.
Cables laid directly in the ground must be in trenches 2’-6” deep (minimum), with a 3” layer of fine sand at the bottom, bricks on both sides, and a protective cover of bricks on top.

All cable joints must be carried out by experienced and licensed jointers using electroplated brass cable glands, copper cable sockets, and approved jointing materials.
Earthing installation must conform to I.S. 3043/1966 (Indian Standard code of practice for Earthing).

The contractor is required to pay royalty to Govt. and produce supporting documents; otherwise, the amount will be recovered from bills.
No interest is chargeable for dues or additional dues.
Contractors undertaking work through labor must produce a valid license from licensing authorities of the labor Department.
Any defects, shrinkage, or other faults noticed within 12 months from completion, arising from defective materials or workmanship, must be amended by the contractor at their own cost.
The defect liability period for the work is 12 calendar months from the date of successful completion.
The contractor is responsible for making good all injuries, damages, and repairs occasioned by fire or other causes and holding the Govt. of Odisha harmless for claims.
No claim will be entertained for loss due to earthquake, flood, cyclone, epidemic, riot, or other calamities.
The contractor must arrange land for borrowing earth at their own cost.
No part of the contract shall be sublet without written permission of the concerned Executive Engineer or transferred by Power of Attorney.
Any damages caused by natural calamities must be done by the contractor at their own cost.
The rate quoted by the contractor shall cover the latest approved rates of labor, materials, P.O.L., and Royalties.
Dewatering costs are inclusive in the quoted rate where dewatering is necessary.
The contractor must arrange materials, borrow areas, and hutments at the site at their own cost.
The contractor must submit a work program at the time of execution of the Agreement.
If the contractor fails to maintain required progress or complete the work, compensation at 1.5% per month for delay will be levied, not exceeding 10% of the Tendered Value.
A contractor may be blacklisted for misbehavior, tender fixing, constant non-achievement of milestones, persistent violation of contract conditions, jeopardizing state security, or submission of false/fabricated/forged documents.

CESS @ 1% of the estimated cost will be proportionately deducted from the Contractor’s bill.
