The work involves maintenance and repair of residential quarters and non-residential buildings, including tasks like plastering, earthwork, concrete work, brick masonry, flooring, painting, and repair of doors/windows.
The tenderer shall have to execute any other works not covered under the scope but required to fulfill the essence of the contract as per the direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
Work shall be taken up as per relevant specifications enclosed, specified in the schedule of quantities, and as per the latest relevant specification of Bureau of Indian Standards.

The brand of cement used shall be manufactured in Odisha.
Contractor must collect good quality coarse sand from Government approved quarry, screened and washed, and convey it to the site.
Contractor must procure kiln-burnt bricks (25cm x 12cm x 8cm) with a crushing strength not less than 75 kg/cm² and dimensional tolerance of +/- 2%.
For plastering, all loose materials must be removed by wire brushes, and the surface cleaned and watered before work.
Contractor must collect required quantity of chips, C.B.H.G. stones, cement etc., free from weathered surface and foreign materials.
Scaffolding for superstructure must be provided by the contractor at their own cost.
Cement utilized for the work should conform to IS 269/1976.
For size of aggregate, IS 383-1970 shall apply.
Concrete shall be composed of cement, sand, coarse aggregate, water admixture, well mixed by concrete mixture by weight, and brought to proper consistency conforming to 4925-1968.
All materials for centering and shuttering and for the work area must be arranged by the contractor.
Curing for concrete, masonry, plastering, flooring etc. will be done properly by the contractor for 21 days for R.C.C. works, including covering the surface with empty gunny bags.
All T & P materials like pans, belchas, pickaxes, phaurah, cro-bars, tempex etc. are to be arranged by the contractor.
The contractor should take necessary clearance from the E.I.C. regarding quality of the materials before utilizing them.
All necessary machineries during the course of work or contract period are to be supplied by the contractor at site of work.
