• EMD is required as per Annexure-A.
• If a bidder withdraws their bid or modifies terms before the validity period, the EMD will be forfeited.
• Additional performance security will be taken on an incremental basis for low bid prices: 0.1% for every percentage below 10% (starting at 11%), and 0.2% for every percentage below 20% (in addition to 1% of bid price) if the bid is 20% or more below the project cost.
• Additional performance security must be furnished in shape of Term Deposit Receipt or Bank Guarantee from any nationalized/Scheduled bank pledged in favour of Executive Engineer, Rural Works Division, Nuapada.
• Failure to furnish Additional Performance Security will result in bid cancellation, forfeiture of security, and blacklisting.
• The successful tenderer must deposit an initial security amount (to make 2% of the accepted tender cost with EMD) and sign the agreement in PWD form-2 within 10 days of intimation.
• Failure to deposit initial security or sign the contract within the stipulated time will lead to EMD forfeiture and withdrawal of tender acceptance.
• Security deposit will be deducted from bills at 5% for B class and above contractors, and 3% for C & D class contractors.
• Contractors exempted from EMD must upload documentary evidence and, if Engineer Contractors, produce original license at opening.
• Contractor must produce receipts for royalty and taxes, or they will be deducted from bills.
• Security deposit of the contractor shall be refunded only 12 months after the date of completion of the work, provided the final bill has been paid and defects rectified.
