Contractors claiming EMD exemption must submit an affidavit stating they have not availed the facility for more than two works (excluding this one) during the current financial year and provide details of previous participations.
The EMD is Rs. 2,97,600/- (online), which is 1% of the estimated cost.
The bid security will be retained until the successful bidder furnishes Initial Security Deposit (ISD) and Performance Security.
Failure of the successful bidder to comply with requirements will result in cancellation of award and forfeiture of Bid Security.
EMD/Bid security of L1 and L2 bidders will be refunded after the award of the contract.
Additional Performance Security (APS) will be obtained if the bid amount is less than the estimated cost, calculated as the differential cost (estimated cost minus quoted amount) in the specified ranges.
If the bid is 0% to 10% below the project cost, no APS is required.
If the bid is from 10% to 20% below the project cost, APS is 0.1% for every 1% below 10%.
If the bid is 20% or more below the project cost, APS is 1% (base) + 0.2% for every 1% below 20%.
APS must be furnished within seven days in the shape of Demand Draft / Term Deposit Receipt pledged in favor of the Project Administrator, ITDA, Karanjia, otherwise the bid will be cancelled and security deposit forfeited.
Building and other construction workers Welfare Cess @ 1% will be deducted from the gross amount of the contractor’s bill.
