Security & deductions from the DTCN (9)

The bid security (EMD) is 1% of the estimated cost, to be deposited online.
If a bidder withdraws or modifies their bid before the validity period, the EMD will be forfeited.
If the bidder backs out before tender acceptance, the EMD will be forfeited.
The successful tenderer must deposit 1% of the accepted tendered amount as Initial Security Deposit (ISD) within 7 days from the date of issue of the letter of intent.
Additional Performance Security (APS) will be calculated incrementally based on the Rounding Off of Percentage Less (ROPL) of the accepted Bid Price compared to the Cost Put to Tender.
APS is not required if ROPL is up to (-)10%.
APS increases incrementally for ROPL below (-)10%, (-)20%, and (-)30%.
APS shall be refunded immediately on successful completion of the work within 7 days of issuance of Completion Certificate/Provisional Completion Certificate.
The security deposit amount will be refunded only after the completion of the 18-month guarantee period to the satisfaction of the Executive Engineer.
