• The contractor must execute the work under direct supervision if availing EMD exemption as an Engineering Contractor.
• The Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) is Rs. 5,20,500/- and must be submitted online.
• Additional Performance Security (APS) will be taken on an incremental basis for low bids, calculated based on the percentage the accepted bid price is lower than the Cost Put to Tender.
• APS must be submitted in the shape of NSC/Post Office Savings Bank Account/Post Office Time Deposit Account/Kishan Vikash Patra/Bank Guarantee within seven days of issue of Letter of Acceptance (LoA).
• Failure to submit APS within seven days will result in cancellation of the bid, forfeiture of EMD, and initiation of blacklisting proceedings.
• EMD will be forfeited if the bidder withdraws the bid, does not accept correction of bid price, or fails to sign the agreement or furnish performance security.
• If any uploaded documents are found false/fabricated/bogus, the bidder will be blacklisted and EMD/Bid Security forfeited.
• No exemption is allowed in EMD, Paper Cost, Performance Security, and other deposits for contractors with MSME registered certificates for work contracts.
• Labour welfare Cess @ 1% will be deducted from the work bill.
• The security deposit will be refunded after one year on completion of the work, provided the final bill is passed, and will not carry any interest.
• An initial security deposit of 2% of the accepted tendered amount is required in the form of NSC, postal time deposit, Post Office Saving Bank Account/Kisan Vikas Patra/Insurance surety bond/Bank Guarantee, to be furnished within seven days of intimation of acceptance.
• Income tax and surcharge will be deducted at source from each running account bill.
