The entire amount of compensation for delay shall not exceed 10 percent on the estimated cost of the work.
Contractor must complete one-fourth of the work before one-fourth of the time, one-half before one-half of the time, and three-fourth before three-fourths of the time allowed.
Quality control tests as per specification for all items of the work executed will be taken up in nearby Government Quality Control Laboratories, and the successful bidder must extend all necessary support at his own cost.
The contractor shall pay fair wages to labourers, not less than the minimum wages fixed by the Government.

The contractor shall submit a time and progress chart for each milestone and get it approved by the Department within 15 days of issue of the letter of acceptance.
If the contractor fails to maintain the required progress, compensation will be levied at 1/2 percent on the estimated cost for every day the work remains uncommenced or unfinished after the proper dates, up to a maximum of 10% of the estimated cost.
Bonus for early completion is applicable for projects above specific minimum values (e.g., Rs. 1,000.00 Lakhs for Irrigation works) on a graduated scale of 1% to 5% of the contract value.
