About Rural Works Department I

CE RW-I (Chief Engineer, Rural Works Circle-I) is one of Odisha's largest rural infrastructure procurement agencies, responsible for rural road construction, culverts, small bridges, and community building works across western Odisha districts. Operating under the Rural Works Department, CE RW-I issues some of the highest-volume tenders in the state, particularly under PMGSY, MGNREGS, and state budget-funded rural connectivity schemes. Contractors registered under Odisha PWD Class A–D regularly bid for works across Balangir, Sonepur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, and Bargarh districts.
